For Making’s Sake is a brand-new arts and wellbeing club, especially for adults with learning disabilities. It’s a safe and inclusive space where you can let your creativity shine. You will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of arts and crafts activities, such as printmaking, collage, painting, drawing, clay work, textiles, and nature-inspired art. It’s the perfect place to express yourself, learn new skills, and meet like-minded people.

Whether you’re passionate about arts and crafts, or you are new to it all, we would love you to join us. If you’re unsure about your skills or creativity, don’t worry—we’re here to help you build confidence and find your creative spark.

Meet in the lobby between 1.40pm – 1.45pm

Download our application form

We want everyone to feel welcome, comfortable, and safe during our activities. To help us support you in the best way possible, please fill out and return an application form before booking—don’t worry, you’ll only need to do this once! This information helps us to support you well, meet your needs, and respond quickly if there’s ever an emergency.

You’ll then be able to book onto any of our current events displayed on our Take Part page.

If you have any questions or need help completing your form, please get in touch–we’d be happy to help you.

Our Application Process

  • Adults with Learning Disabilities (AWLD), their parents, guardians, support workers, or social workers can apply to take part in our programmes via the Take Part page on our website. Here you can download an application form, which once completed needs to be returned to info@artfulwellbeing.co.uk.
  • Once we receive your application, we will send you an email to confirm we’ve received it. We may also follow up with you to discuss any support needs in more detail.
  • All participants must complete and return the application form before booking. This includes emergency contact details, medical information, and any access or support needs. A place on a course or session cannot be guaranteed until the application process has been completed and approved.
  • If you book onto a Workshop, Session or Course without completing the application process first, we reserve the right to refuse entry. Unfortunately, in this case, no refund will be issued.

There is an accessible toilet located on the ground floor of the Artrix, it is down the corridor to the right of the main entrance as you enter the building. The toilet has handrails, sanitary disposal bins, and has enough space for a wheelchair user and a support worker/carer.
